Citric Acid! Potassium Sorbate! Soybean Oil! Oh My!

Once upon a time Hannah Awada’s friends challenged her to try store bought hummus. As a Lebanese-American, before this day Hannah never bought store-bought hummus.

“My mom would kill me if I walked into the house with a container of store-bought hummus. Not to mention my sister, cousins and the rest of my family would make fun of me forever! ”- Hannah

So she went to the store to check out the hummus section and what did she find?

Citric Acid! Potassium Sorbate and Soybean Oil!

These are all ingredients that have ZERO business in authentic Lebanese-Style Hummus. So Hannah went on a mission to bring hummus back to its authentic goodness using ingredients your Lebanese mom or best friend uses!

With her business partner Lara Lozser, the ladies rolled up their sleeves and started blending real chickpeas, fresh garlic, lemon juice, and creamy tahini—just like it’s done back home.

The result? Hummus that tastes like someone actually made it with love (because they did). One bite and you'll taste the difference. This is hummus the way it was meant to be!

No weird oils. No mystery flavors. No shortcuts.

Just time-honored ingredients, modern know-how & a whole lotta tahini love.

We believe clean, authentic ingredients

is the only way to make hummus
